Commandos: Origins is the long-awaited new game for the beloved isometric real-time strategy series Commandos. Playing from an old CD magazine demo in 1998 it quickly became one of my childhood favourite strategy games and was highly decorated by fans of the genre too. While an FPS for the series was released in 2006, the last RTS for the series was released in 2003. Since then, there have been a few remasters, but we finally have a new game based on that original 1998 release. Origins is everything we expect and remember from the Commandos series with slow-paced but challenging gameplay that's deeply satisfying.

Straight off the barbwire bat, Into The Dead is uniquely shaped into 2.5D side-scrolling shelter-in-place survival game set during a zombie outbreak where most of the gameplay focus is on our survival group and less on fighting zombies. Set in 1980 Texas, Walton City is experiencing a zombie outbreak. Most of the remaining population are either zombies or desperate survivors. Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days focuses on the realistic survival aspects of being forced into this scenario. You're put in control of a group of zombie apocalypse survivors, desperately trying to survive and escape the overrun city.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is the latest addition to one of the most iconic video game franchises and perhaps, one of the best games in the series for a long time. It hits that classic Assassin's Creed sweet spot, is mechanically great and finally gives us that feudal Japan setting we've all been craving. When I first saw the announcement trailer I jumped in joy. Shadows follows the same open-world role-playing formula introduced with Assassin's Creed Origins in 2017 yet, there's still enough to keep you interested. The story and world have a lot to offer, and the gameplay loop is actually a lot of fun.
