Directive 8020 marks the start of the second season of the Dark Pictures anthology, reminding us exactly why we love the series and the horror games created by Supermassive Games. This new game takes it in a very different direction, with some bold choices and necessary technical improvements, but it does fall short in a few areas. Despite this, Directive 8020 is a great start to Dark Pictures' second season of horror. For the first time in the series, Directive 8020 sends players into space. It focuses on a cursed shipwreck where the Cassiopeia is sent to scout for humanity's first exoplanet colony in desperate hope to escape a dying Earth. Of course, it doesn't go as planned. Blending witchcraft, monsters and modern slasher films to create a terrifying tale that's clearly inspired by Alien and The Thing - literally my favourite movies...

Pragmata is the newest release from Capcom, a brand new science fiction IP with a “dad and daughter” style narrative that feels similar to BioShock and God of War. In the best possible way, Pragmata feels like a game from the mid-2000s, and it highlights everything we love about gaming from that era. It puts emphasis on a specific gimmick while also executing the gameplay really well and offering an interesting story. Pragmata focuses on action first, so the story does have some issues, but this is still a fantastic title. After communication between Earth and a mining outpost on the Moon is suddenly cut off, Hugh Williams and his team are sent to investigate. However, he quickly discovers that the AI administrator called IDUS has gone rogue and is sending robots to eliminate the humans...

EVE Frontier is the MMO survival game set in a sandbox universe that's shaped by player-driven activity and is not connected to EVE Online. Frontier is a standalone survival space simulation game created by CCP Games and built on blockchain technology. The blockchain and crypto aspects of the game certainly sound more than a little questionable; however, CCP Games is handling it pretty well. Frontier is still in early access, and purchasing Founder Access is the only way to play the current pre-launch version of the game. It is getting regular updates with new content, such as the recently released Cycle 5: Shroud of Fear update...
