Fabledom
Dear Villagers
Set in a wholesome fairytale world, Fabledom is a laid-back City builder. Enjoy the growth of your settlement, interact with your neighbors and defend your kingdom from magical creatures. All to find true love and live happily ever after!
Fabledom is a beautiful cozy fantasy city builder that’s perfect for laid-back players who need something wholesome, relaxing and fun at the end of the day to unwind. Fabledom’s best feature is that it looks like a storybook and keeps that fairytale charm without compromising any of the classic city builder features.
The fairytale vibe of the game is cozy and inviting, and I found myself really enjoying the simple pleasure of building up my little kingdom. It’s nice to play a game that takes some effort but isn’t frustrating. It was exactly what I needed for a more relaxed gaming session. Also for you Steam Deck gamers, Fabledom is fully compatible and perfect for relaxing with in bed!
In Fabledom, your goal is to create the perfect fairytale kingdom with your hero, custom crest and Kingdom name. Your brave heroes role is to protect the town against hilarious town destructive events and if you survive battling evil witches and giants you’ll be able to romance a prince or princess from a neighbouring realm!

As expected of a city builder, there’s lots of management elements. Resources to gather, buildings to place, jobs to give citizens, taxes to collect and an army to build. Creating a strong army to protect the town is important considering there’s plenty of outside dangers including evil witches and even a dragon. While the feature isn’t in the game yet, the developer plans to allow players to wage war against other realms in a later update.
I had a great experience on XBOX but Fabledom is also out for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC so whatever your platform, its out!
Overall Fabledom is a fantastic fun game and you’ll definitely get your moneys worth. Gameplay lasts around 16 hours. That said, I do wish the hero quests had more to them. Having a hero character was a cool idea and there’s definitely room to expand on that part of the game. I’m excited to see the ongoing updates with more side quests and character development. Fabledom is a little gem, that will keep you entertained for hours. Simple, but engaging. A great laid back game to sink your teeth into to break up the monotony of sweaty shooters and other competitive titles and its well worth the cost. I thoroughly enjoyed playing!
