Dive into the captivating high-speed world of Phantom Spark. Engage in precision time-trial racing to best the champions in the single-player campaign, challenge your friends in split-screen local multiplayer, or make your mark on the global online leaderboards.
Phantom Spark is a sci-fi focused high-speed racing game designed to encourage players to test their limitations. It’s a mesmerizing visual precision time-trial game filled with different challenges that encourage players to smash the time record on each track. Players wake up finding themselves battling celestial ancestors, trapped in a ball of light ship, but that doesn’t matter because whats truly outstanding is Phantom Spark’s audio and visual vibe while racing.
The dream state liquid drum ‘n’ bass soundtrack is the perfect vibes to match the addictive visual themes of each race track. You’ll easily find yourself saying – “just one more”. Optimization feels incredibly smooth and brings a satisfaction of cutting corners at the exact right angle is amazing. Utilizing grass, speedups, drifting and the like for an even faster time makes you feel like you’re constantly getting better.
The deeper you play, you understand what Phantom Spark is set out to achieve as each course becomes a sort of strange dance that you’re rewarded for continually improving on, becoming more accurate and elegant at speeding through corners or flying across gaps. In single-player, the game is populated by ghosts of your previous times and the Domain Champion of each course. They act as guides and opponents on the tracks. Beating each will strengthen your “spark” and allow you to unlock new pathways (tracks) and ships to push for faster times.

As a racing game, the gameplay is mostly what you’d expect. However, Phantom Spark is focused on getting the best time possible instead of beating a group of other racers. It’s all about trial and error to get just a few seconds faster. As expected, players can brake, manoeuvre in the air and cut corners to go faster.
Phantom Spark also has an online multiplayer competition where players can compete with the online leaderboards to set the fastest possible times. It’s possible to race against players in the top 10 so you can ‘borrow’ their route and techniques to set faster times for yourself, too.
There are 30 unique race tracks at launch and three distinctive regions set in a retro-futuristic world with mesmerizingly relaxing music. Racing across a retro-futuristic world with mesmerizingly relaxing music might be easy to learn, but beware Phantom Spark will be difficult to master.
