VENOM GAMING DECEMBER 2020 REPORT

Promoting Venom’s charging dock was a huge pleasure. The sleek design and that our community are all obsessed with Fall Guys, a XBOX controller game made the first impressions of sponsored content very easy to navigate and discuss. We focused our conversation on PC and XBOX controller games. We were gifted a new XBOX X from Microsoft so the timing was brilliant.

On our Twitch platform we placed the Venom Gaming logo on screen with the Venom Gaming giveaway panel below our live stream player and a chatbox timer to send “🎮 Check out our awesome sponsor VENOM here for all your gaming accessories needs blueandqueenie.com/venom every 8 minutes. Altogether the Venom Gaming assets were on display throughout our December Twitch coverage of 2.87M minutes watched with 4,568 peak viewers and an average of 339 viewers.

We placed 8 call to actions posts across our other social media platforms with our Twitter posts generating 97,314 impressions and drawing an average of 319 likes per post. An extremely successful result with Twitters current algorithm against #ad and external links.

The sponsored content was very enjoyable and well received from our community. Thank you so much for the Christmas sponsorship again and giving the hardships we’re really thankful!

Using our in house tools and a giveaway host website, Gleam.io we created a contest for the Venom twin controller dock. The giveaway listing included the description from the Venom Gaming website and a clear way to enter the giveaway. To gain entry tickets users had to follow our Venom Gaming and BlueandQueenie social media pages. For every page they followed they gained 5 entry tickets.

After 2 years of using Gleam.io we’ve found that by having a familiar domain address attached to the giveaway can reassure users to join and improve conversion rates we securely embed the Gleam.io giveaway listing into our own SSL website blueandqueenie.com/giveaway. We’ve found 17% of entries come directly from our website at the start of the month and the other 83% to drop in throughout the rest of the month.

To advertise the giveaway we shouted the contest out each day on stream during of December, including the Twitch UK front page sessions where we had up to 4,500 viewers. We also created specific artwork for websites, Twitter, Instagram and Twitch panels using the product renders and theme from Venom Gaming’s own website. With the charging dock here and pictures from the Venom Gaming website we were able to clearly show the Venom Gaming charging docking station in action and point the viewers directly to the giveaway throughout the month.

We had a total of 6067 users enter with Niklas Heymann ‘Homchase’ from Muchen, Germany winning the charging station. He has been in our community for 3 years, avid first person gamer and has agreed to tweet photos of the Venom charging station when it arrives.

REACTION AND ENGAGEMENTS

There’s 1 thing to guarantee to get our communities attention and that’s any peripheral that’s competitively priced so the feedback we received of the Venom Gaming sponsor from the community was extremely positive. We built up hype on stream throughout the week about our 12 days of Christmas event and that Venom Gaming were involved in the giveaways. We had a mass amount of positive engagement replies on our Twitch shout outs and social media posts regarding the price. We ended up having community members argue which was more aesthetically pleasing – the black Venom docking station or the white docking station …haha.

The winner of the Single charging dock and XBOX X controller(included by us) for our 12 days of Christmas event was Lars Lystad “Scoho”, from Saupstad in Norway. He’s a long time supporter of our channel and he has promised to tweet a photo of the drive tagging Venom Gaming’s twitter when it arrives with him. We’ll also be retweeting his tweet.

Ultimately the feedback was brilliant with many viewers buying a drive outright and the sponsored content was very enjoyable!
