For our front page feature we wanted to show the pride our stream, a strong established community and a channel that heavily focuses on viewer engagements. Before our front page feature we experimented with games that focus on chatbox engagement. On front page we played MarblesOnStream, where viewers type !play to join the stream without downloading or installing a program and on 24th February we hosted a Minecraft building event on our community servers.
From 13th January to 2nd March we gained 2,835 followers and received 529,015 live views streaming over 282hrs. Compared to last year, this is a gain of 335% of follows. We also used the front page time to strengthen our relationship with hardware brands and charity organisations we’ve previously worked with. Over the 8 weeks we reached out to 10 brands and successfully completed front page features of building a PC, raising money for charity and celebrating our 5 years streaming anniversary.
Thank you so much for helping us increase our revenue with a improved Twitch contract and new exposure through front page. We really appreciate all the assistance you’re providing us. We really believe we can be a positive driving force on bringing more brands, Irish viewers and revenue to Twitch.

We wanted to make full use of our front page time so we reached out to hardware and charity brands.
Scan and Western Digital agreed to provide us with £2000 worth of hardware parts to upgrade our streaming PC but with the challenge of building it on front page. We created a work station in our living room and a stream system where we could stream as normal from our streaming room to then cut to our living room to build our new streaming PC. Overall building the PC on front page in front of 2,240 viewers was a nerve racking but extremely fun and successful positive experience. They were so happy with the ▶️ front page feature VOD they gave us a £160 NVMe hard-drive to give to our community. Check out the full Scan and Western Digital experience on our collaboration report.
On 17th February we hosted a ▶️ charity event in collaboration with AFK Creators and SoftGiving for St.Judes Research Hospital. Although the donations were 100% from our own community we had a much higher return rate of the new front page viewers than any other front page session.
We celebrated our ▶️ 5 years streaming anniversary with a bang! We were able to show the analytics of previous front page features and receive giveaways from Corsair, SteelSeries, Ubisoft, SneakEnergy, Nitrado and Noblechairs who sponsored the entire month of February with gifts or financial sponsorship in return of a logo placement.
We didn’t realise exactly how much attention we would receive after changing our front page channel description to say “..couple from UK, Northern Ireland.“. On the first day of front page we started receiving high visits from the Northern and Southern Irish Twitch community. It started to get difficult to keep up so we asked our community moderators to take a few screenshots.
The numbers of gamers in Ireland is growing. We received some chatbox comments made while on the front page reflecting conversations we’ve had attending Irish gaming events and they often feel left out on Twitch. These viewers were extremely happy to hear a familiar accent and commented on how positive it was to see someone from their own Celtic community. With the dynamic of our Irish-English accent channel we were able to quickly merge the 2 Irish and English Twitch communities.
The Irish gaming presence will grow and with more access to a regular appearance on front page we believe we can keep those first time Celtic viewers to stay in the right place, on Twitch.
