1st of March we announced our first time collaboration with Corsair. Our PC tech community were ecstatic to hear the news that we would be giving away Corsair hardware while being on Twitch UK front page.

During 2nd – 6th March we had over 500K minutes watched with the Corsair logo on stream. We generated hype by creating our very own event poster with pictures of Corsair’s logo and hardware provided to giveaway. To reach maximum impressions we separated the hardware by giving away the M55 mouse and MM500 desk mat away on stream and the HS60 headset off stream. We placed call to actions across our social media platforms with artwork and backlinks.

HS60 HEADSET GIVEAWAY

Using our in house tools and giveaway host website Gleam.io we created a contest for the Corsair HS60 Headset. The giveaway listing included the description from the Corsair store and a clear way to enter the giveaway. To gain entry tickets users had to follow our Corsair and BlueandQueenie social media pages. For every page they followed they gained 5 entry tickets.

After 2 years of using Gleam.io we’ve found that having a familiar domain address attached to the giveaway can reassure users to join. To improve conversion rates we securely embed the Gleam.io giveaway listing into our own SSL website blueandqueenie.com/giveaway. We’ve found 17% of entries come directly from our website at the start of the month and the other 83% to drop in throughout the rest of the month.

To help advertise the giveaway we create a giveaway banner, Twitch panel and Instagram story artwork using the product render and theme from Corsair’s own website. With the pictures on the Corsair website we were able to show the HS60 and point the viewers directly to the giveaway throughout the month.

We had a total of 1174 users enter with Alisdair Macleod from Livingstone, UK winning the HS60. He has been in our community for 3 years, avid first person gamer and has agreed to tweet photos of the HS60 when it arrives.

CORSAIR GIVEAWAY STREAM

ON TWITCH UK FRONT PAGE

For our week long 5 years celebration event we received 5 sponsors and separated the brand bundles into focusing on 1 brand a day. We decided to use our Twitch front page time to highlight Corsair.

During the front page feature we hosted the M55 Mouse and MM500 desk mat giveaway. Carl Anderson from Illinois, US won the M55 Mouse and Tim Wolfe from Illinois, US won the super huge MM500 desk mat. Both 4 year old community members and super tech based. While using Corsair’s website to showcase the giveaways we spotted the MM500 desk mat measurements. We had a comical moment where we couldn’t believe the size so we got the our tape measure and on our desk camera we scaled the mouse mat to our 8ft desk!

The feedback we received from having Corsair hardware to giveaway was amazing, all while having an extremely fun atmosphere on Twitch front page.
