ABOUT US

BLUE AND QUEENIE

We are Simon Blue and Row Queenie, a Twitch partnered couple team from the United Kingdom. For the last 5 years we’ve been working with the largest companies in the industry. Our focus is on having fun with chat engagement and community interaction. We began streaming 2015 as a hobby to spend more time together and a year later in 2016 we received Twitch.tv partnership. In 2017 we were financially able to quit our real life jobs and become full-time content creators.

Our setup consists of 2 gaming PCs that feed into 1 streaming PC to create our double perspective broadcast. This setup gives the viewer a unique perspective to enjoy the content from multiple angles and have fun engaging with both of us on screen. Working with such a complex system has been a big challenge but very enjoyable.

We specialise in community management, analytics and call to actions. We’ve been fortunate enough to become successfully established in the UK streaming industry, receiving awards from large brands like Nvidia and RedBull. Over the last year we’ve worked with ASUS ROG, Corsair, Nvidia, Redbull, Scan Computers, SteelSeries, Western Digital and many gaming publishers.

Contests are a quick way of generating brand and product awareness. Using in house tools and websites like Gleam.io we can create giveaways, contests and sweepstakes that drive real user engagement. When sponsoring with us, we offer the service to take the workload off companies and let us create the contest. We setup the Gleam contest, embed, advertise, create the promotional banner and Twitch panel artwork.

Gleam.io is a platform where users complete one click actions to gain entry tickets to a contest.

The competition websites uses a secure system to verify the entries to social networks. We’ve been using Gleam for 3 years, trialling the system for the 1st year then collaborating with companies to drive traffic to grow social media accounts and promote products.

By securely embedding the Gleam contest onto our website we’re able to effectively traffic the users from our Twitch channel, community Discord server, Twitter pages, Instagram stories and other social media platforms to the website. Since the website url blueandqueenie.com/giveaways has never changed we’ve found users will often go directly to the website at the start of each month to enter the contest. We’re also able to monitor the click-through ratio by comparing the webpage visit data to the amount of users in the contest. After 2 years our average click-through ratio is 94%.

From our experience the most successful sponsored streams have contests running to support the conversion rates. We can focus attention daily to the brand or product more naturally by shouting out the contest to the viewers.

Twitch’s Sponsored Brand Activations department reached out to us at to help promote Just Eats: Hungry For the Win campaign. Along with a flat budget we were offered a front page spotlight in exchange for Just Eat brand overlays, chat timer and panel placements. The main challenge of the campaign was to get a win, order food using Just Eats mobile app and use specific call to actions to promote the service.

3 PC STREAMING SETUP

Gaining the hardware knowledge and having the patience while testing a 3 PC stream setup is extremely tough. Dealing with compatibility issues as they appear live on stream using 2 cameras, 2 capture cards and 2 mics can be very tricky. Every donation we receive we put straight back into improving our production value.

Over the past 5 years we’ve supported charities close to our hearts and helped raise funds for amazing causes. We’ve worked closely with Special Effect, a charity who help disabled people play games and improve their quality of life and many other amazing charities.
